How we handle your data

AppyDave is run by David Cruwys. This page covers this website and the tools we build, including FliVideo, our video production app. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

This website

• Newsletter sign-up. If you join the mailing list we store your name and email address with our email provider, MailerLite, so we can send you the emails you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• MailerLite script. Pages load MailerLite's script so the sign-up form works. MailerLite may set cookies for that purpose.
• Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser) to run and protect the service.
• Links out. Links to YouTube, Skool, GitHub and others take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

FliVideo and your YouTube data

FliVideo is an internal tool we use to plan and publish our own videos. When a channel owner signs in with Google, FliVideo asks for read-only access to YouTube Analytics (yt-analytics.readonly).

• What it reads: the search terms that brought viewers to that channel's videos, with view counts. It does not upload, edit or delete anything on YouTube.
• Where it goes: results are saved on the computer running FliVideo, in that video project's files. The sign-in token is stored on the same computer, readable only by its owner. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
• What it is used for: choosing better titles, descriptions and tags for that channel's own videos. Nothing else: no advertising, no profiling, no selling.
• Stopping access: you can remove FliVideo's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and ask us to delete anything it saved.

FliVideo's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. It also uses YouTube API Services, so the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy apply.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email david@ideasmen.com.au and we will reply within 30 days.
